One way to identify the key issues in ethical discussions is to examine
case
studies, either hypothetical or real, that present ethical dilemmas. A
simplistic or cursory analysis of situations will often lead one to
judge an action is
"right" or "moral" or the opposite. In fact, the more interesting cases
are
those in which there are competing good values, situations in which the
participants
must choose one path or decision over another, even though other
choices
are defensible.
